Hey all,  Consider two points A and B separated at a distance of say 5 cm in a piece of paper. If you were to reach point B from A you need to cover 5cm distance. But what if you wrap the paper in such a way that point A and B intersect. Then it becomes a shortcut right. This is exactly the concept behind worm holes. Due to the fabric nature of space-time this can be assumed that we can enter from past to future and vice versa through these holes known as worm holes created due to rupture in space time fabric due to movement of celestial bodies including planets. Time is a man made straight dimension but in our universe time is not moving forward rather everything is happening at the moment. It is like a 3hrs Bollywood movie being watched in a DVD where the time period for movie or event is fixed and we can go backwards and forward. Twin Paradox

Hey there,  It's been long I haven't written anything but today I chose to pen-down something very close to my heart, the twin paradox. It was taught to us in 1st semester in physics under the topic special theory of relativity. The story is as under..  There were two twins A and B. They celebrated their birthday on same date every year. But on their 18th birthday A went for a space trip to rotate around a celestial object with a speed nearly 80% of light. He told his brother B that he would come back next year on their birthday when they would be celebrating their 19th birthday. He went for the trip with speed of 0.8c to space and took exactly 1year to return on earth. As he returned he found his brother B was 80 years old. Why this paradox took place? It's because earth revolved 62 years during this time as compared to A's spaceship which took only one year as it was travelling at very high speed. Jerk, the third differential of displacement with time

Hii everyone,  The third differential of displacement wrt time is jerk. First differential being velocity, second being acceleration, third being jerk. I know many of you may not know it and it is not your fault as it is not given much importance but have you ever wondered why shock absorbers are used in your motorbikes or cars. It is to absorb the shock but why it is important? It is important bcz the shock is nothing but jerk and if it is not absorbed the result can be devastating. You know when the external frequency of an object equals it's natural frequency resonance occurs. At resonance max vibrations occur. If in a motorbike or a car the jerk equals the natural frequency of person sitting then the person may collapse due to resonance leading to heart attack. Hii, It's been 8 years that I last appeared for AIEEE and PET.But I can share some tips from those exams about how to crack them and score maximum. 1.While talking about PCM Subjects,have full command in any two subjects. 2.While appearing for exam solve those sections first in which you have full command,then go for other questions. 3.If you are doubtful about certain questions,leave them. 4.If negative marking is not there attempat all questions and for the questions,you don't know the answer tick on same option.This will increase probability of getting correct answers.(for no negative marking questions) 5.As far as subjects are concerned,refer NCERT for chemistry.Most of the exams take questions from NCERT. 6. In today's blog I am going to discuss about the importance of units.We are taught right from childhood that a physical quantity consists of two parts,one being magnitude and other being unit.To specify a physical unit we need both.For eg if someone asks you how much distance did you cover in today's morning walk?You might say 2km.Imagine if you would have said only 2,was it explainable.Answer is no.Similarly only saying km will also not be explainable.That is why both magnitude and units are important.Now this information you will get in primary textbooks also.But can you imagine its practical implications and its repercussions.Let me tell you a story. What happens when you leave your charger on after your phone is charged completely?

Hey guys, It's very common that we forget to switch off the main supply when our phone is charged.We leave it on.Now the question is whether there is any power consumption.Theoritically if there is no load there should be no power consumption.But still the charger consumes very minimum amount of energy because the primary winding of the transformer consumes electricity and this is the reason why the charger gets heated after some time.So if this thing happens for few times it's ok but if it is kept on for larger period of time then power consumed is considerable.So make it a habit to turn the mains off once your phone or laptop is charged up. Use of fish plate in railway tracks.

Hello all, From our childhood days we have witnessed that there is a gap after certain intervals on railway tracks.Moreover the two tracks having gap is bolted with a plate.This plate is called fish plate.Now there must be two questions arising in your mind 1st-What is the need of gap? 2nd-What is the use of fish plate? Let's take the 1st question.The need of gap is to compensate the expansion caused due to increase in temperature which would ultimately lead to cracking and we cannot afford it.From the equation of thermal expansion length is directly proportional to temperature. Do black holes really exist?

Welcome back, Hey guys first of all I want to clarify that I am none to accept or deny about the existence or non existence of black holes.It is a huge topic and already many theories have been put regarding this by great scientists.I will just discuss about my views on existence of black hole. Let's start.. Coming to the basic definition of black hole which states that a black hole is created by a dying star by collapsing under its own mass by getting reduced to nearly zero volume.When a huge mass shrinks in volume in space time fabric it gets penetrated inside it leading to so called hole.But the question is whether the star shrinks to zero volume.If it is so where will the mass exist?The mass can only exist at non zero volume.In my opinion,the black holes when created go deep inside a point,that is the point of singularity.The other case can be that the hole created goes to infinity and never stops at a point. While reducing the diameter of pipe in its outlet does pressure increase or velocity?

Hey, This post is for everyone.From childhood we have grown up seeing our parents giving water to plants using pipes.We all have tried our hands also in that.Now we have always heard that by reducing the pipe diameter by using our fingers blocking the outlet we can increase water pressure and water will go further distance.No doubt water will travel longer distance but in this case pressure is not increasing but velocity is.Dont get confused by the formula of pressure (F=M/A) as it is applicable for solids only.In case of liquids it will follow Bernoulli's  equation stating if area is decreased kinetic energy or velocity gradient will increase and pressure gradient will decrease.So now it should be clear to all. Why pressure is a scalar and not a vector?

Hey Kids, This post is for standard 9th students.You must be having chapter of pressure in mechanics and as of now you must have become familiar with the terms scalar and vector.If a quantity can be defined completely using only magnitude it is scalar and if direction is also required apart from magnitude then it is vector.By the definition of pressure it is Force acting per unit area.Here what happens is that no matter where you apply the pressure,its effect will be taken by the perpendicular component of that force acting on unit area.Since here it is predefined that you should take only the perpendicular component so you don't have to worry about direction.Your books might not contain above facts as these are more precisely defined in 11th standard.For the time being just know that it is scalar as it force will be perpendicular to area.You will know about vector additions,multiplications,divisions and triangle rule in higher classes.Then it will become more clear. Hello friends, This one is a puzzle question.There were two bears A and B having same mass m.But weight of A being higher than B. Tell the colour of A and B. .... Confused... Why you should increase the radius of turning during turning your vehicle?

Hii, This post is about the reason why you should turn your vehicle increasing the radius of turning during taking turns which are momentarily circular in nature.It is known to all of us how to take turns but reason behind is being explained here.What happens is that while taking circular turn if you dont increase the radius it will create higher centripetal force.F=mv2/r.Now to counter this force,the frictional force provided by the road to your wheels will increase but it cannot provide the frictional force beyond its limit.After which the vehicle will skid.Another point to be considered is that velocity should also be lower otherwise the centripetal force will increase by above formula which will also increase the frictional force required.Hence you should take slow turns by increasing radius of turning.Here centripetal force and frictional force act opposite to each other.
