What happens when you leave your charger on after your phone is charged completely?

Hey guys, It's very common that we forget to switch off the main supply when our phone is charged. We leave it on.Now the question is whether there is any power consumption.Theoritically if there is no load there should be no power consumption. But still the charger consumes very minimum amount of energy because the primary winding of the transformer consumes electricity and this is the reason why the charger gets heated after some time.So if this thing happens for few times it's ok but if it is kept on for larger period of time then power consumed is considerable. So make it a habit to turn the mains off once your phone or laptop is charged up. Thanks...

Use of fish plate in railway tracks.

Hello all, From our childhood days we have witnessed that there is a gap after certain intervals on railway tracks. Moreover the two tracks having gap is bolted with a plate. This plate is called fish plate. Now there must be two questions arising in your mind 1st-What is the need of gap? 2nd-What is the use of fish plate? Let's take the 1st question. The need of gap is to compensate the expansion caused due to increase in temperature which would ultimately lead to cracking and we cannot afford it.From the equation of thermal expansion length is directly proportional to temperature. Now come to second question about fish plate.See if we don't join the two tracks with the help of fish plates with adjustable bolts then misalignment will take place while train runs over it.To maintain the alignment in horizontal and vertical directions, the bolts are implemented and are kept bit loose for managing the alignment in horizontal and vertical directions. For more information Google it.

What is inertia in simple terms?

Hey guys, Hope you all are well.Board exams are round the corner. No need to panic just keep calm.Well this post is specifically for class 9th students. In rest and motion chapter you all have witnessed the term inertia. So how will you define it to a layman who does not understand physics that well.If I were in your place I would have told them inertia is nothing but resistance to change of state. This state can be rest or motion. In other words tendency to maintain its original state unless and until the external force completely convinces it or gets hold of it to maintain the new state. We all feel reluctant to sudden change.Take an example of getting up early in morning in a cold winter season.Your body and mind tends to maintain the state of sleep even after the alarm starts ringing unless and until you are compelled to get up.Like humans objects also show resistance to change. It is also said that it is difficult to start a motion than to maintain it.That is why Newton's first law

Which particle escapes earth's gravity in our daily life?

Hey, I  am back and hope you all are doing well.Today's post is bit tricky. You all can visualize the particle which can escape earth's gravity without being given the escape velocity. But does it come to your mind suddenly? In my case it didn't.Actually it's bit tricky.By particle we mean particle in nature. We know light escapes earth's gravity. And we also know it is dual in nature, meaning made of particles and waves. Here the particle is nothing but photons which are tiny bags of energy. As it is a constituent of light itself so it escapes earth's gravity. So I hope it's something interesting right.
