Hii everyone, The third differential of displacement wrt time is jerk. First differential being velocity, second being acceleration, third being jerk. I know many of you may not know it and it is not your fault as it is not given much importance but have you ever wondered why shock absorbers are used in your motorbikes or cars. It is to absorb the shock but why it is important? It is important bcz the shock is nothing but jerk and if it is not absorbed the result can be devastating. You know when the external frequency of an object equals it's natural frequency resonance occurs. At resonance max vibrations occur. If in a motorbike or a car the jerk equals the natural frequency of person sitting then the person may collapse due to resonance leading to heart attack.
